There are two reasons you may want to define users:
To limit access to the Collector.
To send error notifications and updates on Collector activities to specified users.
To display the "Define User Profiles" page, click User Profiles in the Main Navigation Menu.
At the top of the page, ZyrOSS indicates whether logins are required for user access. If logins are required, all users navigate to a login page when they access the Collector. Otherwise, the "View Outputs" page is the first page they visit. Click the Change button to reset this option.

Select the user and click Edit to display the "Edit User Profiles" page. |
Add a user profile |
Click Add or, if you want to reuse the attributes of an existing user, select that user and click Copy. The Collector display the "Edit User Profiles" page with the attributes of the selected user. |
Remove a user profile |
Select the user and then click Delete. |
The "Edit User Profiles" page displays whenever the user clicks Copy, Add, or Edit on the "User Profiles" page.
Note that in addition to the login name, email address*, and password, this page presents the following options for messaging and notification:
Receive error notification emails -- When checked, the user will receive continual notification of collection and output errors as well as other miscellaneous errors.
Receive status updates via email -- Status updates summarize Collector activity. Options are Never, Daily, or Weekly. Status information includes the following:
Length of time the Collector has been running
Number of conferences collected since last status update
Number of conferences output since last status update
*You must configure the Mail Server in order to use the Collector's email messaging and notification features.
